Alison Cassidy - Stephen Malcolm Cassidy

2014-11-07 63

To my dearly loved third born
unplanned but longed for

Fiercely protected by your father
who shared your Irish eyes

Nursed at the hospital by your mother
as you lay deathly pale

Jumping over the waves at Anglesea
with plaster-cast wrapped in plastic

Seriously messing about on the PC
at the Co-op with Evan Davey

Astride Sam's shoulders as the BFG
blowing bottled dreams

Playing homegrown French cricket
with pads but without trousers

Driving dodgem cars like Schumacher
on your fifth birthday at Luna Park

Revving over paddocks on the red Honda
with passionate courage

Second prize in the clarinet competition
I burst into tears...

Confessiong your love for Dee over coffee
I knew just how you felt...

Sharing vows and roses with your beloved
as you drove off in David's Rolls

Stephen from the Greek meaning crown
Stephen you're the king of my heart.
