When I came to you, you did not listen
You shrugged your head and kept dismissing
All my worries, fears and doubts
To you were unknown whereabouts
I tried so hard to tell you this
To get you to reminisce
Of all the times life was so good
Of times I thought you understood
But you weren’t there, your spirit gone
Your body was already withdrawn
And no matter how hard I tried to share
Your heart was empty you didn’t care
So here I am, the sky so starry
Looking up at you, I am so sorry.
