I made you smile
For that I’m glad
I would not want
To see you sad..
I think you have
A lovely smile
So innocent
And lacking guile.
It lifts the hearts
Of all who pass
That smile to see
From a bonny lass.
It helps them go
Upon their way
With lighter step
Throughout the day.
Life can be good
Once in a while
And I am glad
I made you smile.
