They are tired of reading about my sexuality,
That I should write about another eventuality,
But my sexuality is all I have today,
Making me sad in such a way,
That stops me from being happy and carefree.
If only I could be this girl I so much need to be,
I would forever be so grateful you see,
As I live the life that was meant for me.
Oh let me be so free and wild,
This girl inside that is still a child,
Who yearns to break free,
For all the world to see.
Please let me be understood,
Not treated like a piece of wood,
That is so much sawdust,
Because to be the girl I must,
The life I live should be just,
And others should really see,
That this girl I have to be.
