Luis Enrique says Piqué doing "everything possible" to join starting eleven

Sant Joan Despí (Spain), 7 Nov (EFE).- Barcelona manager Luis Enrique Martínez stated Friday that central defender Gerard Piqué, who has not played the last two games for technical reasons, is doing "everything a footballer can do" to make the starting eleven.



The Spaniard referred to the player's situation on the eve of their game against Almeria. He stressed that Pique's absence on the pitch is not due to non-football issues and he has denied that some of his players have showed a "lack of attitude" so far this season.



"Yes, he (Pique) is doing everything possible a footballer can do (to make the starting eleven," said Luis Enrique, who warned that he was not going to answer any more questions on the subject after he was asked about it on three separate occasions.
