From a rather hectic night before
The judges, a little to wear for worse
Sat grudgingly to pontificate
On this year’s new Miss UniqueVerse.
The greatest female talents
In all WordsWomanship
Were led on by the Geminis
(Some say, joined at the hip!)
They’d tried to win by feminine wiles
(Explains why their hair was such a mess)
The Cummings and goings and toings and froings
To claim their Ezra Pound of flesh.
One asked to be excused,
and said she needed to go
In dire need of an Ogden Nash
upon the Edgar Allan Poe.
Another couldn’t speak,
her delivery was off
She’d only woken up with
a bad Roger McGough.
The rest were corralled into a tight bunch
The perimeter measured, to find the herd’s girth.
Much more than the pickin’s on, Emily Dickinson
Though artistically they, were lacking in Wordsworth.
And then one by one they would take the front stage
And deliver their odd odes of love’s joys and rage
Till the head Judge stood up, “I’m pleased to say it’s
my pleasure to give first place, to you, with the biggest tits.! ”
