Linda Ori - Ownership

2014-11-07 5

Some people try to own you,
To desecrate your worth -
They mess with your identity,
Your given right by birth;

They make you question what you know
For sure - they make you doubt
Your honor and integrity -
So what's that all about?

There are those whose lives are dull,
Depressing, sad and lonely,
They leach onto a rising star -
Profess to love you only,

But soon you start to question
Just what their issues are -
Encouragement or ownership?
They push you just too far;

Their constant negativity
Begins to suck you dry,
And all the wonder that you are
Will slowly start to die;

Wake up! And smell the coffee,
You're living half a life,
It's time to get your head on straight -
Discard that rusty knife;

You've let it cut your heart out,
It's left you cold and bleeding,
Remember what you always knew -
YOU'RE all that you are needing;

Embrace your true identity,
Regroup, regain your power,
For this is YOUR experience
Up to the final hour;

Stand tall and let your voice be heard
Let all your knowledge flow
Like rivers to infinity -
The sum of all you know;

Your life is YOUR creation
Enriched by your design -
YOU are the owner of your soul............
So let your spirit SHINE! !
