There was a young poet named Chuck
Who flirted with old Lady Luck
He played her in bed
Thought he'd come out ahead
But that dame took his very last buck

They met again while throwing some dice
To entice him, she gave him sliced mice
'Yuck, gimme back my last buck! '
'No - - but Happy Birthday, dear Chuck! '
Darned Lady Luck never does ring twice...

Luck took Chuck to the beach down the block
Along with a duck, she gave him a clock
When the loud alarm struck
The duck mocked a hen's cluck
Locking Lady Luck straight into shock - -
and her knees began to knock
so she fell right off that dock
into the mire, the ick, the muck
which immediately began to suck
her dowwwn so she became QUITE stuck........
So, who got the last laugh? Our Chuck!

this stock schlock - -
'cause this is simply
all that I've GOT! ! !
