Tyler Howat - Here Comes the Sun

2014-11-07 5

I gaze upon
Fields of color;
A mosaic of honeysuckle,
Jasmine, Lilies, and Orchids
Entwine the tapestry with
Lavender, the palest
Purple, yellow, and ivory.
Nostalgia overwhelms me.

The gentle gurgle,
A soft trickle;
The brook flowing, softly
Babbling, streaming through the field,
Slicing crystal blue through
The vivid brushstrokes
Of lush green speckled with color
Carefully laid upon the canvas.

I stare and listen, captivated,
Awestruck by the dazzling beauty;
Sunshine pours from atop its perch.
A glorious melody enchants me
And blankets my dull world;
Revealing the harmonious wonder
With rays of golden light.
So warm, bright, blinding, brilliant,
A smile crosses my face.

Here comes the Sunshine.
