The fiery frolic of Venus's omen
Released the embers from Pygmalion's heart,
Crackling against the statue's abdomen
Till her ivory lips broke apart.
When Pygmalion kissed his snowy bride,
A kiss of crimson and rose desire,
His lips were met with a blush of life,
Till her eyes, once dryly open,
With no choir,
Shared a dancing gaze onto his touch.
