God my father, this I hope and pray
Keep my family safe and on the narrow way
My family is the church, and you are the father
For after this life, there is no other
Keep us from temptation, for it surly leads to sin
Help us restore shepherds to our flock once again
Help us to do your word, for it is what’s right
Be our strength, our mentor, and our guiding light
But most of all, I thank you for the son
Jesus, the Christ, your chosen one
For by his blood, our sins were washed away
So that we might join you up in heaven some day
And we will be with you forever, as you always have been
Let it be when I die, or your son comes, amen
