Luna,
My heart drifts up
To the silver moon
And I swoon
But no one
Is here tonight
To fall in love with.
I walk our childhood streets alone,
Worship the same lilac fragrance
From the same bush
I once cut blooms
To bring to you.
Somehow,
I’m happy tonight
In the sweet
Midnight air of summer:
It doesn’t really matter
If I ever see you again,
It doesn’t really matter
If love ever kisses me again.
