You are a man, I am a girl,
we go so happy through this world,
you work so very long
with your muscles so strong,
driving your old truck,
while in the house I am stuck
waiting for you to call,
hoping that you will not stall
or slide on a dark patch of ice,
telling me you are on your way,
that tomorrow is the day,
you will be home by my side,
to take me for your bride,
