Summer is a magic time.
Winsome little lass,
Strolling down a country lane,
Shadows slipping past,
Fertile fields and pastures green,
Meadows fresh and bright,
Sweet contentment - rosy dreams,
Windsong in the night.
Summer lends a gentle peace,
Quiet, simple charms,
Homespun beauty all about,
Held in June's soft arms,
Twilight moments - evening bliss,
Stars within the mystic sky,
Dawning lovely - gently kissed,
Summer breezes sigh.
Golden sunshine all about,
Laughter of the stream,
Children happy - school is out,
Such a glowing dream.
Birdsong-blue skies-rainbow fair,
Quiet splendor too,
Fill your heart with happiness,
Summer smiles on you.
