Oh, light,
Please encompass this darkness
That whisks its tail through the path
That separates me and her.
Oh, tides,
Please not be angered
And dance slowly with yourself to moon music
So I may swim safely back to her.
Oh, sky,
Please let the rains down
To extinguish these infernos
So they may not devour my soul.
Oh, time,
Please not torture her soul,
Go gently on her and kiss her
So I can remain changeless for her.
Oh, love,
I will hold you against me dearly
So you will not be killed in this horror,
If you die,

I depend on you the most.
Let me find my way across those dark dales,
Past the black, swallowing waters
To swaying grasses
And her standing in them.
