Alison Cassidy - I Miss You, Little Alison

2014-11-07 7

I miss you, little Alison,
my happy puppet child.
I miss the silly shapes you make -
with your head tilted on one side,
and a look that comes from far away.

I miss you, little Alison,
the way you wave the scarf,
(bright silk, always blue) .
Oh how you love to dance,
to spin and laugh!

I miss you, little Alison.
You make the candle dance
and try to blow it out
and watch the smoke
curl like ribbons.

I miss you little Alison.
You charm your audience
when you wave and clap your hands,
squealing high and wild
until you nearly burst

I miss you, little Alison.
Last year they stopped the funding.
'Say Goodbye to Big Alison'
You gave me a hug like a bear
and tottered out of my life

Addendum:
What's the matter with Alison?
Why can't she talk?
Why does she walk funny?
She has Angelman's Syndrome.
What's that?
I believe she's part Angel.
