K. Jared Hosein - (Death) Afterlife on Imax

2014-11-07 0

We all stood quiet as they pulled the baby out,
Not a primordial gurgle
Out of its still-clay lips.
Somehow, the mother wasn't bawling
Or crying
Or whimpering.

She said she heard the whales wailing
And an open sigh from woven star sky
And her little one
Treading along the golden shore,
Picking up seashell trinkets
And the light grows brighter.
Then we all saw it,
Like we were witnessing it on Imax.
