K. Jared Hosein - (Society) Machineparts and Birds

I sit down with my new machine,
It has the specs of a Centaur,
I try to assemble the parts,
The instructions are an eyesore.

The neuro-net chip goes here
Right next to the station rear,
Then I'll fit the I/O plug
Near this silicon software.

While I'm doing this,
I think about the operating system,
The number of things it can do,
I couldn't even list them.

Then I turned my head to see
Nine birds flying in the shape of a V,
They were flying
Just past my windowsill
And suddenly the machineparts before me
Seemed just run-of-the-mill.
