You ask who I am,
I'm flattered that you care
But this'll take a while,
Please pull up a chair.
I can tell you my name,
My ID I can share
But who I am
Is nowhere even near.
I can tell you my hobbies
And what gives me a scare
But who I am
Is nowhere even near.
I can tell you my age
How old I turned last year
But who I am
Is nowhere even near.
I can tell you my job,
The resumé for my career
But who I am
Is nowhere even near.
I can tell you my fashion
And what I like to wear
But who I am
Is nowhere even near.
I can tell you my thoughts
To the tail of every idea
But who I am
Is nowhere even near.
I can tell you my life story
For as long as you can bare
But who I am
Is nowhere even near.
I can tell you the car I drive
And if I drive in first gear
But who I am
Is nowhere even near.
I can tell you what music I like
All the songs I like to hear
But who I am
Is nowhere even near.
See, I'm not the house that holds me
Or the Mazda that I steer.
And I don't know any proper answer
For that question, I fear.
Maybe if you tell me,
It will be more clear.
If you can tell me
Who you are, my dear.
