David Darbyshire - To be a Crocodile

2014-11-07 0

Lying on the bank, all the While
I want to be a Crocodile
To get up and chase is not my Style
But that's the Life, on the Sunny Nile

Sun baked and Dried,
Feeling Fried
Jaws open Wide
Wishing something was Inside

On the water was a Splash
I'm in, in a Flash
Cruising up at a slow Pace
Eye's just breaking the Surface

There are splashes on the water all the Time
And in this case dinner wasn't to be Mine
Someone threw an Old Tier in the River
Here's me wishing it was Chicken Liver

I could chew that Tier all day Long
All it would do is make my Jaws Strong
Here's my Stomach Grumbling Away
I suppose I'll catch dinner another Day
