When I was a kid there was this other kid who
couldn’t fathom how fortunes could be inserted into
fortune cookies, so he thought it was a miracle.
He thought God had inserted the fortunes.
What an idiot, right? Well, not really. Here was a
perfect opportunity for someone like you to really
make a believer out of this kid and to confirm that
yes, God had indeed performed these cookie
miracles and this kid had better start going to
church and reading the bible. I didn’t have the heart
to tell him that just because he couldn’t explain
something, it doesn’t mean it’s the work of God.
And yet, sometimes those fortunes
are right on the mark.
How do you explain that?
