How are you inspired?
Are you inspired by the sun?
Does it warm your skin from deep within?
Is it your number one?
Is it the pounding rain
that makes you want to write?
When you hear the plop of the first few drops
is it something you can't fight?
Or does it take a heartache?
A pain that runs so deep.
A mournful cry that makes you sigh
for the secrets that you keep?
Are you inspired by sorrow?
The wretched lonely ache
of a lonely soul that has no goal?
Is this what it will take?
Do you look for inspiration
or does it look for you?
Will it be your friend until the end?
