Underwear tossed carelessly to the floor
shower recalls sponges like distant friends
laundry overtakes the hamper in an unseen race
sink contains remnants of shadows, five o'clock and beyond
yet there you stand
pants strangling ankles
to inform me
I put in the new toilet paper roll upside down.
