Royals host reception for those involved in caring for injured soldiers

STORY: Queen Elizabeth along with her grandsons, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and his brother Prince Harry, played host to 400 guests at a reception for those involved in the care, recovery and rehabilitation of injured British servicemen and veterans of recent conflicts.

Among the guests were field hospital workers, critical care teams who help rescue injured soldiers from the battlefield as well as specialist staff from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and the Headley Court rehabilitation centre in Surrey.

Representatives from some of the main charities supporting British soldiers, veterans and their families were also in attendance.

Earlier on Thursday (November 6) the Queen, William, Harry and other members of the royal family took part in a number remembrance-themed events ahead of Remembrance Sunday (November 9) which commemorates those who fought in the two World Wars and more recent conflicts.
