Elizabeth Rebel - Inside Me

Now that you know
The inside of my thighs
I wonder what you’ll find
Is what you were looking for
Everything you’ve hoped for?
Did I clench around you just right?
You held me too tight
The compass of heady bodies
And sweaty skin was too much
I didn’t cry out in pleasure
Everything was wrong
The first time is always
Awkward and afterwards
Is not much better
But I had you inside me
And I felt nothing
I moaned and you groaned
But there was nothing inside me
That was worth the living for
I read about the explosion
And the fireworks
But never once did anyone
Mention the cold numb
Or the painful pain
Never once was there a whisper
Of the shame
Maybe that’s just what
Is inside me
Because I felt nothing
Even as you kissed me
I felt nothing even as you
Where there locked tight
Inside me
