Tony Marinho - A Mobile Poem... from a mobile phone hater

2014-11-07 43

Time is now BM and AM

Before the Mobile-BM
there was peace
Silence in church, court and
time for independent thought.

After the Mobile-AM.
Flash, vibrate, silent, text,
Whatever will they think of next?
'So you just phoned to say you love me? '
At work? ? ? ? Are you mad?
You text me to say Hi?
Bye!

With photophone
You're never alone.
No lies about where you are
In the library or back of the car
Show me the books
Must always have good looks.

With the G8
Africa struggles for a debt cancellation date
Live 8 Africa cannot pay its stuffed loans
But everyone, rich or poor, needs mobile phones
Everyone except me
You see, I'm still free
But only temporarily
Because your mobile phone
Won't leave me alone.

GSM
God Save Me
from the mobile phone

But...may I borrow your mobile phone
Occasionally?
