I can never forget the night
They barged into the house
Bristling with truncheons
And walkie-talkies
'Where's your Dad? ' they bellowed
Minutes later they dragged him
Shamefaced out the door
I looked on in bewildered terror
And when I asked them what was happening
All the big Sargeant with the moustache
Said was
'Son, you Dad's been interfering with dogs'
