Albert E. Neumann - Wannabe

I am a wannabe
A shoulda, woulda, coulda
Bin

Neverbin

Can I be?
Can I see?

To be
What I shoulda, woulda, coulda
Bin

Perhaps

When the dawn arrives and one
Decides
To redirect one’s silent
Cries
To cast aside one’s wretched
Lies
‘Tis then and only then when
Sighs
Are heard by that which rules on
High

And then I’ll be
A shoulda, woulda, coulda
Bin
Everbin
Always bin
I can
Be
I have always bin
Just never

Now
