Scarborough Gypsy - Sauerkraut

2014-11-07 6

A spiteful fish one minute
Slippery the next
Though my heads above the water
It’s feeling quite perplexed

From what I’ve seen he’s talented
So why then does he need
To snap at all the other fish
And bite them ‘till they bleed

I have a sneaky feeling
That it’s all a clever act
In order to get noticed
And by Cod it works – In fact….

He swims with such commotion
Amongst this fluid site
And for his own amusement
He makes us feel like shite!

So with a pinch of salt I’ll toss
His comments to the shore
And worry not he’s still annoyed
He didn’t win the war

I’ll serve him on a platter
This cantankerous old trout
And sprinkle him with parsley
To serve with sauerkraut
