The Moon, Orion and Pleiades,
Jupiter shinning past a fading mars
Venus is brilliant and trying to please,
The Milky Way clouded with fiery stars.
A twinkling majesty in black and white
An expanding void in the blackest night,
Past the shining sun and it’s constant light,
Past the galaxies and the quasar’s plight,
Hearing eternity and its quiet call:
Can a blue little speck, so very small,
Shelter all life while the rest are just balls
Moving in motion with no life at all,
While creating the light that lets me see
The meaning of to be or not to be.
