Can I question God?
Can I doubt His Word?
Can I call Him odd?
Can I cheat my Lord?
God’s love is so great!
It does not abate;
He can change my fate;
Why should I, Him hate?
God knows my true heart
And my earthly part;
Loving me from start,
He made me with art!
God dislikes my sin;
His love, I must win;
Throw my sinful bin;
Live a saint akin.
God is merciful;
Nature’s beautiful;
I must be careful;
Live life dutiful.
God is my one Friend;
To Him, let me bend;
Me, he will defend
Until my life’s end.
God is my way right;
He is my true light;
He improves my plight;
He gives me insight.
God is everything;
I’m just an earthling;
God’s earth’s/Heaven’s King;
He is so loving!
Why then fear the Lord?
He has a just rod!
He made me a bard
And will well reward!
