Cin Sweet Fields - Agoraphobia

2014-11-07 13

depression wilts me
fear binds me
i sag, shrinking, sinking iron heavy
i'm five-'o-clock stockings
slouching, tired, giving in
i'm a plucked flower, cut and crying
drying out, weeping flower dust
another sleep, another bright new day
in a sunshine laced strawberry dress
then suddenly I turn, the birthday balloon
that never made the party
shriveled up, sucking dust off the floor
deflated, depressed, deboned
no, i'm glued to my home
taking itsy steps, in bitsy circles
