Carol D. Meeks - Fly Around and Then Away

2014-11-07 3

Transfixed by intense
patterns and exquisite
painterly hues, these butterflies

take wing as they live on the
outer edge of their souls
also known as flutterbys!

They are the queen of serene.
They investigate leaves of trees.

Or:
on any place they flit
for closer inspection
they flutter, fly, race, hurry,
and scurry to perfection.

They move from their target
as elegant material of georgette.

Like a hit song drops from
the charts,
these gorgeous insects steal
your hearts.

Their brilliant colors on display
runs through their veins
on a summer’s day
soothes those that watch them on their way
their beauty takes your breath away.
