Aside from the latent yet blatant homoeroticism that smiled on exhibit at Alain and Eugene’s party most things were exactly as they seemed. A few unapproachable topics weaved unsteadily in and out of the minds of guests but most were justly drowned out; poured on as it were by waves of trivia and wet bursts of screaming. Gifts were anointed and importance discussed. A few familiar faces scuttled and slept while more established guests sat on the slumberous with Korsakoffian grace and Freudian aims.
The end came soon (truthfully, sooner that it should have been) but a decision was made to move, and as is usually the case, thought was reasonably followed by action… still, other action’s fell exhausted and hesitant(chainmotive
