STORY: Sao Paulo's highly anticipated Fashion Week opened on Monday (November 3) with a slick domestic showcase of Brazilian designers parading their winter collections.
The popular home brand Animale kicked off the spectacle with designs inspired by the Silk Road trade route.
As the afternoon continued, the spotlight turned to other designers which have contributed to the growing reputation of the Brazilian fashion industry, including Victor Dzenk, Uma Raquel Davidowicz, Tufi Duek and Cavalera.
The 19th edition of the event was well attended by fashion specialists, bloggers and enthusiasts, who were generally pleased by the quality of the designs and production.
Some 300,000 firms make up the Brazilian Fashion industry, of which 90 percent is destined for the domestic market.
