Taylor Swift pulls music from Spotify

Singer Taylor Swift, whose new album, "1989" is likely to have the biggest opening week of sales in a dozen years, on Monday (November 03) pulled her entire catalog from online music streaming service Spotify.

Singers and bands, including Beyonce and Coldplay, in the past have delayed releasing albums to Spotify to give retailers an exclusive window to sell their albums, but Swift has taken the unusual action of pulling all of her music from the service.

The singer also announced a world tour that is set to begin in May in Louisiana.

"Nightcrawler", a dark crime thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a freelance cameraman in the high-speed world of siren-chasing journalism, topped sluggish weekend domestic box office charts with 10.9 million in ticket sales.

"Ouija", last weekend's box office leader, was second by a razor-thin margin, selling just 8,760 fewer in tickets in a weekend slowed by candy-gathering Halloween revelers.
