Dean Meredith - By Myself

2014-11-03 10

An old class room,
A prison cell,
Place of learning,
Devil's hell,

In quest of knowledge,
I came here,
They locked me in,
This place of fear,

Mother Nature's only sun,
Gives a gift to me,
A shadow on a dingy wall,
My only company,

I read the writing on the wall,
Whatever it may say,
I could not really care in here,
My life is locked away,

On either side of these black bars,
My past and future lie,
On which side is my future?
On which side will I die?

If I should lose my life or mind,
In this cell alone,
Dare not shed a tear for me,
On my grave of stone
