STORY: The White House celebrated Halloween with scores of young trick-or-treaters and 200 pumpkins carved by volunteers on Friday (October 31, 2014).
The Obamas welcomed local schoolchildren and children of military families at the White House.
More than 4,500 people were expected to visit the White House for Halloween, the White House press office said in a press release.
