A year ago, two French journalists, Ghislaine Dupont and Claude Verlon, were working for our sister radio station, Radio France International in a dangerous situation in the north of Mali. They were kidnapped and shot dead. Exactly why, and who carried out their assassination remains unclear, but in their memory, this Sunday has been proclaimed by the UN as the International Day to end Impunity for Crimes against journalists. Our guests discuss the state of journalism in the world.
