Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic has crashed during a test flight in California.
Two pilots were onboard the suborbital spacecraft named SpaceShipTwo as it underwent its first powered test flight since January.
Reports says one person has died and another is seriously injured.
The vessel has been developed to carry people to the edge of the space where, for a few minutes, they can experience weightlessness.
More than 800 people have paid or put down deposits to fly aboard the spacecraft.
The accident is the second this week by a U.S. space company.
On Tuesday, an Orbital Sciences Antares rocket exploded 15 seconds after liftoff from Virginia.
