On nights like these,
You come closer than any other nights;
In your plenitude,

Are you curious
About lovers' whispers
In your presence?
Are you aware of me in my solitude...or,
The effect of your mysterious radiance,
In young hearts ardent with love?
O! La Luna, La Luna...
Nocturnal tempter amongst constellations;
Anima brightens on nights like these!
I'll wait for you tomorrow night,
You...lucent and impassive Face,
So distant...but, O! So alive!
For you bring life to my spirit
And I feel Life -alive.
