You say I know nothing about love
You say I use it loosely,
When it is such a loaded word
And I am casual about its beauty
And then it's you who tells me
That you have touched its depth
But I can see clearly
How you misjudge my strength
We'll let me tell you mister
For I too have been in love
I gave up all my dreams for him
Went through a hell unheard
My love for him was just
so dense
It enveloped all my senses
I lived in trance
Even in that distant land
I felt the reassuring warmth
Of his hand
The one that was never
There for me
The sweetness of just being in love
Puts that extra bounce in your step
Gives you that warm glow and grace
And at every tune you can dance.
The dreams and aspirations and hurts
That your partner nurtures or distrusts
Become a part of your own little world
And every step you take in life
It's all about him his struggles and strife
Putting his picture next to you
Where you work, makes
All your worries go
It's his smile, his voice
His style
And Everything he does for you
Test of true love I have passed
With distinction and honours that last
So don't dissect and inspect my past
For I am moulded in loves own cast.
