Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi - Dissociation

Dissociation
Of body from spirit
Of love from intimacy
Of emotions from relations
Of heartless humiliations

You taught by example
The art of survival
Basic instincts revival
And Convenient creations
Of rules for recreation

I thank you my friend
For showing me the way
A lot of lessons learnt
From your discourse today

An epiphany that struck
While I was so wonder struck
The pains of knowing the truth
The art of winnowing what's worth

No promises have you made
No happiness to home I take
A routine roller coaster ride
All this you take in a stride

Getting punished
For some one else's deeds
Your lack of respect
For my credibility.

This I know
You too have been hurt
Your heart has been broken
In no one can you trust

But is your vision also stained
Is your conscience too so drained
That you aim your arrows and might
At someone that's caring and right

I had to go
through this process too
This was my personal choice
And I don't feel that it's a vice

Carnal pleasures
Hedonistic accessions
Untamed desires
Not my future vision.
