today is poem day, hip hooray
time to get champers out
or cans that make you sway
but watch the lager lout
its a time to celebrate
Shakespeare or Wordsworth
Dylan Thomas, did medicate
shortly after childbirth
we are a terrific crowd
poetry although different
is undoubtedly world renown
its a gift that was sent
