Today is the great Nuakhai let us meet.
Houses are coloured are clean and neat
Oh my dear friends come, sit on new seat.
Where you all are please come and gather,
New food is ready dear, let us have together.
New grains are adored in Goddess temple,
Famous in world remains unique example.
Great Goddess blesses Great Sambalpur,
Giving grain lights life miraculous moor.
Pure food pure mind pure thought action,
Special festival brings on world attraction.
Nuakhai tells us world is only one family,
We secure food for poor, richer, uncannily.
No difference ruler or poor or daily labour,
All are of ours own we love in one harbour.
New dresses mother sister brother wear,
We offer dress to poor men them we bear.
We unite all together we never at all fear,
Among us we share even very little pear.
Great Goddess great nature great lotus feet,
Garden she builds for crop with boon sheet.
Green field sings, wind blows and we meet,
Get together great occasion we all do greet.
