Oh death
- - - - - - -
Haste not waste not
To thee I say not
Thou art born mighty
Think and act absolute
Liberty thy wine
Sips day and night
And who shall stop thy hostility?
With thy birth
Cometh thou parents'death
Hence spoilt child
Moulded with insensibility
Walk and stare like a stranger
Behave injudicious and callous
And on whom shall fall thy ire
Is unforeseeable and vagarious
The sun was yet to shine
When sunset thou sent
Little angel had no fault
Yet roses with tears looked wet
When saw her in dreamless sleep slept
I have heard
That wearied ones rest
But a calm and happy flower
Blooming fresh and fair
Snatched away by thy power
Sudden and unceremonious
Like the cruel frost
After chilling the air
Charmed her unto the land
Fairy, unfair and afar
Oh thou art haste not
And waste not life so dear………
