Lying next to you
I wonder how she would feel
If she knew the truth about me
And her sleeping man
His borrowed heart
Still beating beside her
Show stopping, jaw dropping
Once in a lifetime
Chance meeting of two halves
Wrong place, wrong time
Fate playing fast and loose with
Our topsy turvy reality
Could have, should have
Loved each other madly past and future
But we part calmly in the present
My heart outwardly so cold and still
Only inside flailing
And jumping crazily towards you
Now eternal goodbye over
She lies next to you
While truth lies here with me alone
