Melissa K Vigna - Twisted Tree

2014-10-29 6

Around the bend up through the trail
A few miles down then head up a hill
Walk through the valley go down by the stream
Make a left at the end and you’ll see the tree
A twisted tree with dead black leaves
And a few cemeteries that lie beneath
It has long since died but is quite an odd sight
As everything around it is bursting with life
The clear blue water the grass so green
The wildlife, bright sun, then blackened tree
Twisted, empty, shaded, damned
So many of the townsfolk avoid the land
And just a few of the tales they tell;
A devils portal from earth to hell
Evil and lost soul’s eternal jail
It does not exist it’s just a tale
