Hominid: all tooth and bone,
Eyes and claws, and raptor-gaze
Nimbly, as the vociferous brain
Strains the nomenclature'd day.
We suck the smoke in, never blinking,
Eyes not leaving the quarry's face;
For we are bloodlust, as defined-
While the irrelevant, we raze.
