The second darkness goes away,
Your image touches my eyes and lips.
The minute darkness goes away,
I whisper to you through my new voice.
The hour darkness goes away,
Slow wheels turn never fast enough for you.
Within the minutes of the day,
The walls and floors now scream your name.
Within the hours of the day,
Impatience grows as the clock draws near.
The only wakened moment of the day,
Your hand to hold is close to mine.
When the light starts to fade away,
Still in my mind is your glowing face.
And when we must have our goodbyes made,
The ground is all I can bare to look at.
But yet then our final embrace,
Can bring back the glow to even my face.
The darkness returns with such a pace,
That leaves me with nothing, but an image of your face.
